The Garrick Theatre on Bleecker
Street stood at this site.
A former movie theatre where the Mothers played a 6-month residence in 1967.
Downstairs was the Café A Go Go.
Just across the street was the Tin
Angel (upstairs at the Village Sushi) where the
Mothers used to hang out (Necessity Is... by Billy James).
In the place downstairs now called the Peculier Pub Frank reputedly took his meals,
annoyed when bothered by fans. Unknown what the place was called in 1967.
