Concerts in the USA are located by city and state. Mentioning the state is not only customary but necessary. FZ performed in the following pairs of cities:
Bloomington, Illinois (74/07/03) and Bloomington, Indiana (81/11/22)
Fayetteville, Arkansas (75/10/15) and Fayetteville, North Carolina (73/02/23)
Portland, Maine (80/05/04) and Portland, Oregon (70/09/17) [These two cities are 4 000 km (2,500 mi) apart.]

Mentioning the province is also customary with Canadian cities. "Vancouver, Canada" would be unambiguous, but it sounds distinctly odd to me. In the gig list, province names are spelled out, with one exception:
